Cyient, a global Intelligent Engineering services company, is proud to announce that its Founder Chairman, Dr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, has been honored with the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Lifetime Achievement and Leadership in Technological Innovations by the Institute of Directors (IOD). This esteemed recognition was presented to him during IOD's Annual Global Convention on Corporate Governance and Sustainability 2024, held in London recently.
The award recognized Dr. Reddy's visionary contributions to technology and his lasting impact on the engineering and innovation landscape.
Dr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, a Padma Shri awardee, is widely recognized for establishing Cyient as a global leader in the ER&D industry. Dr. Reddy has worked to elevate Cyient from its pioneering origins in the geospatial and engineering services sectors to its current stature as a global frontrunner as an Intelligent Engineering services company across multiple industries.
He is dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship and has held key industry roles, including former NASSCOM Chairman and CII Southern Region Chairman. He is also the Founding Director of T-Hub, the largest incubation centre in India for start-ups by the Government of Telangana.
Dr.Reddy also serves as Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Hyderabad and IIT Roorkee. He is also instrumental in establishing the BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BVR SCIENT) at IIT Hyderabad, which aims to nurture and develop world-class innovation and entrepreneurial talent from India in the light of the country's ambition to become Atmanirbhar Bharat. Dr.Reddy has also significantly contributed to nation-building through his commitment to social responsibility. He established a directive to donate significantly to charitable causes through the Cyient Foundation well before India mandated CSR activities.
Dr.Reddy's philanthropic efforts through the Cyient Foundation have yielded notable improvements in primary education, livelihood skills, digital literacy, innovation and entrepreneurial capacity building, community development, and preventive healthcare. Cyient Foundation actively supports 33 government schools across India, including 22 in Telangana, offering quality education to over 21,000 children annually across India. The Foundation's initiatives empower unemployed rural and urban women through the Cyient Skill Centers, which have trained nearly 10,000 women in sustainable livelihoods, with over 2,000 women and girls gaining skills and employment each year.
